When I visited my cousin in New York City, I wanted to see the Museum of Modern Art for art inspiration. Unfortunately, while there were plenty of human characters and objects, I hardly saw any animals depicted during my visit, even fewer anthropomorphic animals, and only one piece that might read as Furry. Since then, I wanted to make a museum for us. Something that represented our Fandom and elevated the art of our community to something worthy of belonging in a museum.

Since that fateful moment in 2022, I have met so many incredible people who helped give me an even greater appreciation for this Fandom and the many ways it's helping people. One of the greatest, of course, was Sylys Sable. He told me he was tired of hearing how many people's lives were saved by the Fandom, and ardently supported our Fandom's many communities. That inspired me to want to learn more. Like an anthropologist, I delved into these communities further and learn the many different ways this Fandom is helping people.

There've been detractors - people who'd rather not learn about less represented subcultures of our community. While the world may normalize hatred of things it does not understand, I prefer instead to educate others in the hopes of turning some of that hatred into understanding so we can all learn how this Fandom is helping everyone in it.​​​
